This blog will now focus on the items I have created for my

Cafe Press Nature Store - also called Kreations by Kerri.

I will also highlight some of the artists that inspire me.

The Colors of Summer

I was going thru my archived pictures recently and saw this butterfly I had taken in August of 2009. I thought it really represented the colors of summer.

I have added this in my shop as a tile, framed tile, and notecards.

If you visited my other blog yesterday - you saw this little lady "Floating on the Sky". She was at the very back of the pond. I was able to get a little closer and I shot this with my 300mm lens. Most pics I take are with the 300mm. You can still see in this shot a bit of the sky reflection making the water look gray/blue in places.

It was VERY dark so I had to lighten it up a LOT.

PSE5 Dry Brush Filter and something else I don't remember...

I have to admit...my least favorite color is Orange. At least it had been
until a couple of years ago.
Being a Redhead (ok not so red as I get older)...orange was one
of the worst colors I could wear.
But as I see Orange in nature....it has certainly grown on me.

In fact...I think it is a quite beautiful color!

the Watercolor filter.

Well, as you can see, my home-made Bird Feeder Wreaths are working out well!

I have millet and a peanut butter/seed covered pine cone in this one.

I made the pine cones by using crunchy peanut butter, softening it a bit,

drizzling it over the pine cone, and then rolling it in the seed.

It has been a BIG HIT with the birds.

A Sepia Scene

To get the Sepia color in PSE5 I removed the color and then in

Color variations - decreased the Blue and increased the Red.

I also added a sandstone texturizer to this.
I would LOVE to hear how others using Photoshop Elements 5

get the Sepia effect.
